Learn How BlueCross BlueShield Can Help You
At Bluff Creek Dental, Dr. Patrick Crowley and his team are proud to offer a wide array of services to help you achieve a healthy, beautiful smile. As a BlueCross BlueShield dentist in Edmond, you can always feel confident that you are receiving the highest level of quality dental care at the most affordable rate.
BlueCross BlueShield In-Network Dentist
When you sign up for dental insurance, you will find there to be an in-network and out-of-network pay structure. The reason it is strongly encouraged that you see an in-network provider is because of the pre-negotiated rates Dr. Crowley and the insurance company have agreed to accept for services you receive. By seeing a dentist within the preferred network, you could save up to 20%! However, when you opt to go out of network, it is possible that you might be charged the difference of what your insurance pays and what the dentist charges.
Dental Insurance from BlueCross BlueShield
BlueCross BlueShield offers dental PPO plans that allow you to see any licensed dentist and your particular plan will share the cost, and you’ll pay less when you see a dentist within the preferred network. Most policies cover preventive care at 80-100%, minor services at 70-80%, and major services at 50-70%.
It also offers a dental EPO plan, which stands for “exclusive provider organization.” This means, an EPO covers only services provided by dentists within the preferred network. It does not cover any services offered by professionals out of network.
If you’re unsure whether we are considered in-network or out of network, don’t hesitate to call our dental office. Our team members will always be happy to help you get the most out of your benefits as well as file any necessary paperwork and claims on your behalf.
Dental Services Provided
Preventive care is the most important service you’ll receive at Bluff Creek Dental. Dr. Crowley and his team believe a healthy smile starts with routine checkups and cleanings every six months and practicing good oral hygiene habits at home. But you might be surprised to learn that your dental insurance company also values preventive care, which is just one of the reasons they will pay most or all of these services. Should you forgo these regular visits, you are not only wasting money on unused benefits, but you are also putting your oral health at risk for developing tooth decay, gum disease, or even oral cancer.
Since most policies are based on a calendar year, it is always in your best interest to get the most out of your benefits before the year is up. This could save you lots of money and prevent worsening dental problems from occurring in the future.
